Joel spent this past summer in Florida taking an extended break from his usual work routine to explore a bit of nature and get comfortable with his very first digital camera, as well as a plethora of digital toys including a new computer and broadband internet access.

We knew it had to happen sooner or later!

Joel was actually begining to get the digital bug when he was up in New York (using the computers in the office) and his recent move to Florida only served to push the issue.

Always someone who is quick to learn the things that he must, Joel (after the usual growing pains) took to the internet and in just the last few months has managed to assemble an impressive roster of both old and new friends on his personal MySpace page which has evolved into a mini history of rock.

These photos are just a small sampling of those he has sent back to us but it is quickly evident that he is pushing the equipment to it's theoretical design limits just as we suspected he would. Way to go Joel!

This last one is our favorite.

A quick impromptu arrangement of items on his cousin's dresser (using only the existing room lights) while not exactly a commercial grade image shows Joel's quick wit and excellent eye for what looks good. Admit it... you think it's cute too!

Joel reports that his most recent photography client (a local real estate agent) has him taking pictures of homes for sale. We hope that it will end his recent obcession with shadows, leaves, trees and reflections on water long enough to do some real work with all his brand new equipment.
